About Boxed Bridal

Boxed Bridal is a specialist division of Pressing Needs, a dry cleaning, laundry and ironing business which has been successfully trading in Hampshire for over 20 years. Home for Boxed Bridal is just outside Southampton in a dedicated bridal room within the Pressing Needs Unit.. 

Our aim is to offer a truly personal service from start to finish and to leave a bride with complete confidence that her dress is safe and will be cared for while it is with us. All cleaning and pressing takes place on site and in our dedicated bridal rooms.  This gives the bride the opportunity to examine the dress together with us before the cleaning process. We will explain how the cleaning process works and the various cleaning options we have available. An appointment will be made with the bride to watch her dress being carefully boxed following the cleaning process.  

Cleaning a wedding dress is very different to everyday dry cleaning and with the many years of combined experience between them, the staff at Boxed Bridal are able to deal with virtually any wedding gown that is presented, both before and after the big day..

Nickie, the Director of Boxed Bridal, says wedding dresses have been a passion of hers for a long time. “I guess after more than 30 years of marriage I remain an old romantic and would love to have had my dress properly cleaned and preserved all those years ago....but I didn’t, big mistake and unfortunately one I cannot now rectify. At least I can make sure this doesn’t happen to any other brides I meet.” Nickie is planning to expand the business dramatically in the future with the aim of becoming a well respected wedding dress cleaning specialist with national recognition.

Emma has worked with wedding dresses for years part time within the company and at the beginning of 2012 joined Boxed Bridal as a full time member of staff to help with the increasing number of dresses coming in every week.  “I love everything about weddings, but the dresses are my favourite part. We see so many different designs here I can’t wait to see what’s next! We very rarely get the same dress in twice; it’s wonderful to see all the choice.“
